Over and out from festival season

As festival season draws to an end, we thought we’d highlight one of our biggest jobs of Summer 2024…Carfest!

Founded in 2012 by radio presenter Chris Evans, what started off as a relatively small festival has now grown to be one of the highlights on the British festival calendar.

Set in the grounds of Laverstoke Park Farm in sunny Hampshire, this family festival donates 100% of its profits to charities like Children in Need, Teenage Cancer Trust and Naomi’s House. In fact, since 2012 they have raised over £25 million for their UK partnered charities.

So, of course we jumped at the chance to be part of this amazing festival. We were tasked by Carfest to design the Starfest, Spafest, The Author, The Skoda Explore and The Chef’s stages.

The Starfest stage attracts legends from film, adventure, TV and comedy to talk about their lives in the spotlight. This year saw the likes of Jay Blades, James May and Deborah Meadon take to the stage. Our vision was to turn this conversational area into a night time rave, transforming from Starfest to Clubfest.

The Chef’s stage, sponsored by Cuisinart, was a showcase stage for their products as well as a demonstration area from well-known chefs such as Angela Hartnett. We made a huge 9m counter with an inlaid hob for this stage!

The Discover More stage was all about the outdoors and adventure, and The Author Stage, you’ve got it, hosted the likes of Jo Jo Moyes talking about all things books.

Our beMatrix frames built the stages, saving a huge amount of time, but the team were still on-site for five days, utilising a colossal 250 hours of labour!

We couldn’t be more proud of the Transform team for pulling this one together!

We’d like to congratulate Kirsty on her recent promotion from Logistics Assistant to Project Manager after her brilliant work at Carfest. Kirsty came to the Transform team at the start of February 2024 and has been gaining considerable experience in managing large projects since - we can’t wait to see what you do next Kirsty!
